Which Poker Sites Offer Rakeback To Players?

Fact is most of the biggest poker sites don't even offer rakeback, while it is responsible for fueling the growth of Full Tilt back in 2006 compared to PokerStars.com traffic most poker sites elect to offer in house VIP programs that are essentially (value back) the same thing only handled by the poker site directly instead of through a third party affiliate.

How Online Poker Rakeback Works

The average online poker rakeback deal pays 30% rakeback. So let’s say you play a few hundred hands a week, over a thousand a month. You contribute, on average, about $0.10 per pot. That’s over $100 in rake contributions in a single month for the average low stakes player.

A 30% online poker rakeback deal would give you $30, cold hard cash, right back into your bankroll each month.  If you play online poker for real money, there is absolutely no reason you shouldn’t be earning online poker rakeback!

Introduction To Poker Rakeback Deals

Rake is the money that is paid to the poker site for each hand of poker played. If you’ve ever played live poker, you’ve surely seen the dealer skimming every single pot and pulling 2 or 3 chips for the house.

Online rake works much the same way. A few bucks is pilfered from every hand and paid to the poker room, this is why they are in business. To keep frequent players loyal many of these poker sites offer them a refund of a percentage of their rake.

Rake is generally returned to a player on a monthly or sometimes weekly basis. This is great for a player’s ROI, and a nice way to pad a budding bankroll.

In order to earn rakeback, you have to sign up a the poker room through a third party site that promotes rakeback (much like this one). Poker sites aren’t so willing to part with their rakeback profits, but for members who sign up through this web site, they make a special exception.

We negotiate a special deal with the best rakeback sites, and then pass the online poker rakeback on to you, our players. We provide you with online poker rakeback deals at numerous online poker sites and a personal account to view all of your rakeback earnings.

Can I Get Rakeback If I Already Have An Account?

If you already have an account with a certain poker room we, you probably won’t be able to sign-up for the rakeback deal. In some cases however, such as on Merge Network Sites and Cake Poker Network Skins, where Doyle’s and Cake poker for instance both offer rakeback using the very same skin, you can just switch skins and play the very same people in the very same games, and earn rake the secondary skin with a new real money account.

Types of Poker Site Rakeback

Poker rakeback may be paid directly to the player from the poker room, this is a great option, easy for the affiliate, and easy for the player. Money comes on time, and is a preset amount determined by the poker site.

Another option is an affiliate pass-through; the affiliate in this case pays the players out of the money paid to him by the poker site for advertising their brand.

This sort of rakeback payment can be beneficial due to the fact that the affiliate often-times has the power to pay before the specified pay date comes up in a crunch, and further more the affiliate may be able to offer a larger percentage than the poker room might.

How Is Poker Rakeback Calculated

The average poker rake is 5% capped at $3, and the average rakeback deal pays about 30%, so we will apply 5% up to $3 rake and a 30% rakeback deal in all of the examples below.

Dealt Rakeback Calculation

All you need to know is the number of players who were dealt cards in a hand, and the size of the pot.

If there are 7 players in a hand, and the pot ends at $55, all you would do is divide the pot by 5% to get the total rake, and then divide that sum by the 7 players in the hand. Take 30% of the end result and that’s your rakeback.

Your total rakeback earnings would be about $0.12 for the hand, whether you contributed anything to the pot or not. Dealt rakeback is paid so long as the hand is raked, and you are dealt cards in the hand.

Shared Rakeback Calculation

Shared rakeback is calculated in the same manner as Dealt Rakeback except for one little difference. You MUST contribute at least one chip to the pot to share in the rakeback rewards. Just being dealt cards in a raked hand is not enough.

Because of this rule, you’ll have to keep up with how many players actually toss chips into the pot. A table of 9 players may have only 3 contributors. You’ll divide the pot size by 5% to get the rake, and then divide that by the number of players in the hand. Take 30% of the final total and that’s your shared rakeback.
