poker site. The next milestone in this journey is 60 billion and
the 60 billionth hand is expected to be dealt before the end of
March 2011. At the time of writing the ticker at the
PokerStars.com online poker site read 59,589,690,354 hands.
PokerStars.com will be celebrating its 60 billionth hand. The online poker site says, “If you’re good enough to win the sixty billionth hand, you will receive at least $60,000!” All players who are dealt into this Mega Milestone hand will win a cash prize of $500 plus $500 for every VPP earned in the previous 50 hands. The winner of this hand will have the cash prize doubled and will receive the bonus of $60,000. VPP are the VIP Player Points earned by players for wagering at the PokerStars.com online poker site as apart of the VIP loyalty program.
PokerStars.com will also be celebrating 300 regular milestone hands. These will be the millionth hands between hand number 59,700,000,000 and hand number 60,000,000,000. For being dealt into a regular milestone hand players will get a cash prize of $50 plus $50 for every VPP earned in the previous 50 hands. The winner of this hand will have the cash prize doubled. In all the 60 billion milestone promotion is expected to make players at the PokerStars.com online poker site richer by $1,000,000.
PokerStars.com offers some tips for the 60 billion milestone promotion. It suggests that players play on more than one table at a time because the more tables they play on the greater their chances are of being dealt a mile stone hand. The cash prizes depend on the VPPs earned in the previous 50 hands. PokerStars.com suggests that players play action games like Limit Hold’em or Pot Limit Omaha because these generate pots more easily and earn VPPs faster.
The 50 billionth hand was dealt on September 22, 2010. This gives 10 billion hands every six months. At this rate there are still two years to go before the 100 billionth hand is dealt at the PokerStars.com online poker site.
